tsundokuは、日本の文化芸術を国内外へ届けるチームです。展覧会や国際プログラムの事務局運営から、翻訳・編集、ファンドレイジングまで、アートプロジェクトの実現に必要な仕事を一貫して担います。 tsundoku is a team that brings Japanese art and culture to audiences at home and abroad. From running the secretariats of exhibitions and international programs to translation, editing, and fundraising, we take on the work it takes to make art projects happen.

一般社団法人tsundokuは、文化庁アートプラットフォーム事業(2018–2022)を担当していたメンバーによって設立されました。コーディネーター、ファンドレイザー、エディター、翻訳者など、アートに関わる多様な専門性を持ち、国内外の美術館、ギャラリー、企業、アーティスト、行政と協力しながら、美術・文化の国際発信を推進しています。 tsundoku inc. was founded by members who worked on the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Art Platform Japan project (2018–2022). As coordinators, fundraisers, editors, and translators, we work with museums, galleries, companies, artists, and public agencies in Japan and abroad to advance the international reach of art and culture.
現代美術、美術館、展覧会、アーティスト、文化機関、企業のアートプロジェクトに寄り添い、活動の背景にある思想、文脈、価値を丁寧に読み解きながら、プロジェクトの実現に必要な仕事を担います。 We work alongside contemporary art projects of every kind — artists, museums, exhibitions, cultural institutions, and companies — carefully reading the ideas, contexts, and values behind each practice, and taking on the work each project needs.

作品の背景や文化的文脈をふまえた翻訳・編集。翻訳・クロスチェック・校閲の3段階プロセスと「翻訳スタイルガイド」に準拠した用語の統一で、国際発信の質を支えます。 Translation and editing grounded in the background and cultural context of each work. A three-step process — translation, cross-checking, and proofreading — and terminology aligned with the Art Platform Japan translation style guide support the quality of international communication.
文化庁、国立アートリサーチセンター(NCAR)、森美術館、ヴェネツィア・ビエンナーレ日本館。国の文化事業や国際展の現場で、事務局・翻訳・ファンドレイジングを担っています。 The Agency for Cultural Affairs, the National Center for Art Research (NCAR), Mori Art Museum, and the Japan Pavilion at the Venice Biennale — we handle secretariat work, translation, and fundraising for national cultural programs and international exhibitions.

Acting as a secretariat, we connect the many people involved and see projects through to realization.
文化芸術プロジェクトのためのファンドレイジングをサポートします。クラウドファンディング、寄付募集、支援者コミュニケーション、返礼設計、活動報告、ニュースレターなどを通じて、プロジェクトへの共感を広げ、継続的な支援につながる関係性を育てます。 We support fundraising for arts and culture projects. Through crowdfunding, donation campaigns, supporter communications, reward design, activity reports, and newsletters, we broaden empathy for each project and build relationships that lead to lasting support.
海外の美術館、ギャラリー、キュレーター、メディア、支援者に向けた英語発信をサポートします。プロジェクト紹介文、プロフィール、プレス資料、メール、SNS、ウェブコンテンツなど、国際的なコミュニケーションに必要な言葉を設計します。 We support English-language communication with museums, galleries, curators, media, and supporters overseas. Project introductions, profiles, press materials, emails, social media, web content — we craft the words international communication requires.
現代美術、展覧会、アーティストステートメント、批評、カタログ、プレスリリース、ウェブサイトなどの翻訳を行います。言語の置き換えにとどまらず、作品の背景や文化的文脈をふまえた、精度の高い翻訳を目指します。 We translate texts on contemporary art: exhibition materials, artist statements, criticism, catalogues, press releases, and websites. Going beyond word-for-word conversion, we aim for precise translations grounded in the background and cultural context of each work.
展覧会カタログ、アートブック、ウェブ記事、インタビュー、ステートメント、教材などの編集を行います。情報を整理し、読み手に届く構成と言葉へと磨き上げます。 We edit exhibition catalogues, art books, web articles, interviews, statements, and educational materials — organizing information and refining structure and language so it truly reaches the reader.
アートプロジェクトのウェブサイト、SNS、ニュースレター、クラウドファンディングページなど、オンラインでの発信設計を行います。プロジェクトの魅力を伝え、共感や支援につながるコミュニケーションをつくります。 We design online communications for art projects: websites, social media, newsletters, and crowdfunding pages. We create communication that conveys a project's appeal and leads to empathy and support.

Artnestは、tsundokuが運営する、アート専門のファンドレイジング・プロジェクトです。国際展から出版企画まで、多様なクリエイションと支援者の思いをつなぎ、継続的にアートを育むための「巣」をつくります。 Artnest is tsundoku's fundraising project dedicated to the arts. From international exhibitions to publishing, it connects a wide range of creative projects with the people who want to support them — building a "nest" where art can keep growing.
資金の使い道やプロジェクトの進捗を、支援者がいつでも確認できる透明性の高いしくみが特徴です。これまでに、ヴェネツィア・ビエンナーレ2026日本館のクラウドファンディングを実施。今後は、アート専門のクラウドファンディング・プラットフォームとしての展開を予定しています。 Supporters can see how funds are used and how each project is progressing at any time, through project pages and update reports. Artnest ran the crowdfunding campaign for the Japan Pavilion at the 2026 Venice Biennale, and we plan to develop it into a dedicated crowdfunding platform for the arts.

We take part as members of the secretariat operated by AMCN Inc.
荒川ナッシュ医による新作映像作品を発表する2026年日本館の公式クラウドファンディングを、制作チームとともに企画・運営。国内外の支援者からの文化的支援を可視化し、透明性の高い資金運用と報告体制の構築に取り組みました。現在はリターンの発送と活動報告を継続しています。 Together with the production team, we planned and ran the official crowdfunding campaign for the 2026 Japan Pavilion, which presents a new video work by Ei Arakawa-Nash — making cultural support from donors in Japan and abroad visible, and building a transparent framework for managing and reporting funds. We are currently handling reward fulfillment and project reporting.
現代日本美術に関する重要な一次資料・美術批評の英訳を、翻訳・クロスチェック・校閲の3段階プロセスで実施。国内外の研究者・キュレーター・教育機関に向けた知の共有を目的とし、成果の一部はArt Platform Japanのウェブサイトを通じて公開されています。 English translation of key primary texts and art criticism on contemporary Japanese art, carried out through a three-step process of translation, cross-checking, and proofreading. The program aims to share knowledge with researchers, curators, and educational institutions worldwide; part of the results are published on the Art Platform Japan website.

次世代のアジアのキュレーター、研究者、ライターによる現代アートの協働・ネットワーク形成プロジェクト「Asian Art Roundtable」(2023年11月–)。株式会社AMCNが運営する事務局に、メンバーとして参画しています。 Asian Art Roundtable (November 2023–) is a collaborative, network-building project in contemporary art for a next generation of Asian curators, researchers, and writers. We take part as members of the secretariat operated by AMCN Inc.
日本の現代美術に関する文献の英訳プロジェクトをメンバーが担当。翻訳の品質と用語の統一を支える「翻訳スタイルガイド」の作成にも携わりました。この経験が、tsundoku設立の原点となっています。 Our members carried out the English translation project for key texts on Japanese contemporary art, and helped create the translation style guide that underpins quality and consistent terminology. The experience became the starting point for tsundoku.
コーディネーション、ファンドレイジング、編集、翻訳。それぞれの専門性を持つ4名の代表理事が、ひとつのチームとしてプロジェクトに伴走します。 Four directors — bringing expertise in coordination, fundraising, editing, and translation — work as one team alongside every project.
